This week I’ll be reviewing the 41st Annual Grammy Awards which were held in the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles on the 24th of February, 1999. Lauryn Hill received the most nominations with ten, setting a record for the most nominations for female artist in one night. She won five Grammys on the night. Madonna won three awards while the Dixie Chicks, Vince Gill, Alanis Morissette, Stevie Wonder and Shania Twain won two apiece. Don’t Miss it!

On the week’s Wall of Sound once again we’ll be bringing out the big guns, cranking up Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Guns N’ Roses and sampling the delights of Simon and Garfunkel (pic), Poco, Elbow and founder member of Dutch rockers Focus, Yan Akkerman. 2pm – 3.50pm Big Ones and New Ones with Andy Henly
Andy has “New Ones” from Kim Wilde & Keith Urban and “Big Ones” from Billy Joel (pic) and REM. Also, Andy has 5 songs and events from the end of January of a mystery year from the 80’s. Try and work out the year from the clues and music and play The Test of Time.
